Fashion Photography and Elixir of Fashion

Saturday saw me cover the birthday party of Lilian Christensen (UK Director of Vibe International Models), and Andy O (Director, Soiree Nights Ltd). The event was held at the fabulous Jalouse, London W1 and also hosted the UK launch of the new product by Vodkar UK Ltd, Fashion Vodka.

The fashion vodka was poured into the top of the magnificent ice sculpture and in passing through the middle of the ice was well chilled by the time it fell into the shot glass below. So from a photographic point of view the night combined event photography, fashion photography and product photography.

Prestigious Interiors Photography

This shoot took me by surprise at the sheer scale of the opulence. If I were to talk of the gold leafing which adorned the wood panelling in every single room, or the rare marble floors which paved each room or the chandeliers, you guessed it ... in every room, I would barely be scratching the surface in describing the detail and extravagance with which this jaw dropping house has been fitted. The chandelier in the main hall alone is the biggest in the UK.

The Clive Christian interior is one of a number that I have photographed for this prestigious designer. For me top marks go to the actual design artist behind the interiors Sally Burden, now a freelance designer. There is interiors photography and interiors photography, and this one just about took my breath away.

Holdup Heroines and the House of Harlots

Holdup Heroines is one of the most infamous costume events, inspired by the truly legendary exploits of four young ladies from the 18th century.
This event, staged at Home House, Portman Square in the heart of London's west end, includes fabulous 18th century costumes, a dandy for the door and a dramatic fashion show where the models become actors.

Seminar at the World Photography Festival

Thanks for Photo Meet Ups for asking me to provide a photographic talk at the World Photography Festival at Somerset House.

I started by relating my story from enthusiast all those years ago through to professional photographer, covering things I had learnt along the way as well as images from many of my photographic commissions.

I went on to teach on the subject of light and how a camera interprets it, which is an area where a lot of confusion lies.

Actor Headshots

Will Hughes completes his acting BTEC this year and will move on to a university course in acting. In the meantime he's involved in various acting productions and commissioned me to provide his headshots for online portfolios for temporary work.
