Family Photographer too?

Well on this occasion anyway! The thing about being a photographer is that my nieces have come to expect photo shoots when they come to stay!
This time we had great fun exploring the delights of Beachy Head, Eastbourne and Pevensey Bay at early evening.

Home Interiors Photography

My client, a property developer, wanted to showcase a particular project.
I chose a relatively new photographic technique called HDR (high dynamic range) which basically means all the detail from the extremes (dark areas as well as very bright areas) is captured and can be seen. You can see this in the images.
It's always good at a shoot when you are greeted with the offer of fresh coffee and doughnut!

Live Dance Photography - Ceroc Kent Annual Ball, Folkestone

It's that time of year again when hoards of jive dancers head for the sea. The Leas Hall at Folkestone hosts the annual Ceroc Kent ball and I am proud to provide photographic coverage for the fourth year running.
The main brief is to capture the dancers and the electricity between them as they try out their coolest moves.

CP Hart - Opening of Tunbridge Wells Showroom

Capturing the spirit of an event in the surrounding of beautiful new showrooms is always a pleasure.
The intended use is of course PR for CP Hart with editorial coverage in both local and national publications - See Utoptia magazine, November edition, others TBC.
Thanks to Publicity Engineers for seeking me out all the way from Hertfordshire.
I loved the idea of having baths filled with ice and champagne!

Macro photogrpahy - Tiny spider

I discovered this little beasty whilst walking down to the garden office / studio. Perched on an iris and measuring no more than 1cm across, I was inspired to see how it would capture. I took a dozen or so but this was my favourite. This was very very different to a typical photo shoot, and the challenges were different too. The 100mm macro lens was barely 2 inches from the little monster and at this proximity the depth of field was so shallow that the slightest breeze would move the leaf and thrown the whole thing into total blur! Add to that the fact that he kept moving - I'm not sure he welcomed a great big lens being that close to him!
